During the Reformation

[edit]

Rather than duplicating references, I suggest having a section with the above title, covering Cromer to Dowdall. The Church of Ireland and Roman Catholic lists could start with Loftus and O'Tighe respectively. This is what is done in some other episcopal pages - I think that it works better. Done as suggested. Scrivener-uki (talk) 12:06, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Categorisation

[edit]

Category:Archbishops of Armagh currently contains a number of men who were abbots/bishops of Armagh before the See was made an archbishopric in the time of Cellach of Armagh in the early 12th century. St Patrick is not one of them. I suggest that the following should *not* be categorised as Archbishops of Armagh, and that the category 'Bishops of Armagh' should be created to contain them: -

  1. Ailill the First
  2. Ailill the Second
  3. Benignus of Armagh
  4. Carláen
  5. Fiachra mac Colmain
  6. Congus
  7. Cormac of Armagh - his article says that he was ' Archbishop of Armagh diocese' - I suggest that this should be 'Bishop'
  8. Dubthach the First
  9. Dubthach the Second
  10. Fedelmid Find
  11. Fland Feblae mac Scandláin
  12. Iarlaithe mac Treno
  13. Mac Laisre
  14. Eochu macDiarmaid
  15. Nuadu of Loch Uama - his article says that he was ' Archbishop of Armagh diocese' - I suggest that this should be 'Bishop'
  16. Ségéne
  17. Senach
  18. Saint Suibne
  19. Tómméne
  20. Áed Ua Forréid

Bold

[edit]

Although it's technically correct, I find that the excessive use of bold is exhausting to read. Is all. MinorProphet (talk) 05:12, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
