Any claims regarding Segedi becoming a Chinese citizen and renouncing her American citizenship – dual Chinese citizenship is not possible, regardless of country of birth – will need a highly credible source rather than conjecture. It is possible that the North Americans on the Chinese national team roster have obtained passports from Taiwan or Hong Kong(1), however I haven’t found any publications that touch the topic of citizenship since the final roster was announced. If such a reference is located, please add it to this article and I will be happy to update bios for other North American players on Team China. Keep in mind, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and the information presented within must be verifiable against a published reliable source – simply seeming correct is not sufficient.
