This page was created on 12th Oct 2013, I have put in one years research to perfect it, in that time no current British records have been broken. (James Kevin McMahon (talk) 22:27, 7 October 2014 (UTC))
Have found Arctic Char records 4lb 13oz 1987 Loch Garry, also 7lb 7oz Loch Arkaig 1990. Just need to find out the angler's name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by James Kevin McMahon (talk • contribs) 06:02, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
Blacklisted Links Found on Angling records in the UK
[edit]Cyberbot II has detected links on Angling records in the UK which have been added to the blacklist, either globally or locally. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed or are highly inappropriate for Wikipedia. The addition will be logged at one of these locations: local or global If you believe the specific link should be exempt from the blacklist, you may request that it is white-listed. Alternatively, you may request that the link is removed from or altered on the blacklist locally or globally. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. Please do not remove the tag until the issue is resolved. You may set the invisible parameter to "true" whilst requests to white-list are being processed. Should you require any help with this process, please ask at the help desk.

I will endeavor to find the info from alternative sources, until that time, do not remove the blacklisted links please — Preceding unsigned comment added by James Kevin McMahon (talk • contribs) 21:46, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
I am in my last year (year 4) at university, I really need to focus on that. Once that is completed I will endeavor to focus on completing this project, which I expect to go way over 300 records. That will be my target in 2017. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.150.89.189 (talk) 20:04, 2 December 2015 (UTC)

Non- records

16 lb 7 oz | Brian Greed | Nov 2009 | Royalty Fishery, Hampshire Avon, Christchurch | Dorset | [1] |
Brian Greed's barbel of 16lb 7oz is a fine fish indeed, but, to of been a British Record, you would of had to caught it 11 years earlier. Unfortunately I have to remove it from the historical records, but it will remain here on this page. James Kevin McMahon (talk) 12:06, 21 September 2018 (UTC)

Questions after some copy edits
[edit]- Is captor the correct word in modern British English? To my American ear it is more like a kidnapper.
- Is Salmo trutta {migrantis} a real taxonomic name? I've not seen curly brackets used that way before. Similar with {communia}, {corium}, {speculo}, and {migrantis}.
Thanks. I'm open to any other feedback on the copy editing. SchreiberBike | ⌨ 16:43, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
