Filmography
[edit]It is not acceptable to copy and paste straight from any website, especially IMDb (which is obvious where it is from, complete with mistakes like "Queen Of England" not "of"). It should have references and be merged with career section. If people want a comphrensive list like this they will go to IMDb, we do not need to replicate it. I will continue to revert this as a copyright violation. --UpDown 18:32, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- It's a shame User:Tovojolo has taken that attitude, we cannot allow copyright violations, simple. At some point I would like to add more about her career, but we shouldn't do that at the expense of copyright. --UpDown 18:33, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
I believe that User:UpDown should show us poor, ordinary Wikipedians what he, an obvious Wikipedia Master, can do.
Go on. Do it. Provide the Filmography for Angela Thorne then.
I shall be watching your Angela Thorne Filmography with interest and shall revert it, at once, if there are any Manual of Style or Copyright violations.
So instead of constantly criticising others, let's see what you can do. Tovojolo 19:19, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- It is a real shame you have taken this so personally, and decided to personally attack me. It was uncalled for. I do not pretend to be a "Wikipedia Master", but it is common sense that you can't just copy and paste from another website like you did. I would also advise you not to issue threats like "I shall be watching your Angela Thorne Filmography with interest and shall revert it, at once, if there are any Manual of Style or Copyright violations." - I could report you for this, you should not be making this personal. --UpDown 08:14, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
So you are happy to revert others but can't take it yourself. What threat ? You haven't done a Filmography and you never will. I know your sort - "all mouth, no trousers" - happy criticising others and very idle in doing anything.
As for reporting, I can report you. I know that you have been following me around Wikipedia. Tovojolo 08:32, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Cool it
[edit]User:Tovojolo - Cool it. User:UpDown - you cool it too.
UpDown and Tovojolo - this page does not belong to either of you. You both respect each others edits or leave Wikipedia. We do not want fights here.
Have some common sense - both of you.
"Metaphorically shake hands" and both be good Wikipedia editors.
Or I will report the both of you.
I hope this is the end of it.

I will metaphorically shake hands. Tovojolo 09:13, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- I always welcome a 3rd editor coming into a debate, and while I shake hands, I never had any personal problems with Tovojolo, so hold no grudges, I was only trying to keep the page copyright free (after all it does say "Do not copy text from other websites without a GFDL-compatible license. It will be deleted" below the "save page" button). And I will improve the page. --UpDown 11:34, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Women rule
[edit]I'm glad that both of you - UpDown and Tovojolo - have had the sense to shake hands.
I hope you both understand that the Angela Thorne page does not belong to either of you.
Geez, what would you men do without us women ? .
The World would have gone up in smoke ages ago !
One last word, gentlemen, I do not want to see your name, UpDown, nor your name, Tovojolo, on this Talk page ever again.
Never cross a Woman, gentlemen,
Caprisa 17:25, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Your wish is my command, ma'am Tovojolo 11:27, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Why, thank you, kind sir Caprisa 11:46, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
What? What? What?!?
[edit]However, she was probably best known for playing Marjory Frobisher in To the Manor Born (1979 -1981), and Margaret Thatcher in Anyone for Denis? (1982); Also for her 1981 Laurence Olivier Awards nomination for Best Comedy Performance for playing Margaret Thatcher in Anyone for Denis? at the Whitehall Theatre.
This last bit in the lede is a bit confusing because it seemingly refers to the same show twice (despite different wording, both those links bring up the same article). This same show also seems to have happened in two different years (which is the right one?). It is also unclear whether it was Anyone for Denis? that was at the Whitehall Theatre, or the 1981 Laurence Olivier Awards. Can somebody who knows what is supposed to be going on here please edit this into something that makes sense? Thanks. Kelisi (talk) 19:25, 19 June 2023 (UTC)
