It seems my earlier link to lyricwiki.org/Andain was removed????? WHAT DA .... is up with that!?!!?--CrashTestSmartie (talk) 21:23, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If an external link contains copyvios, how can wikipedia be responsible for that?! You just don't remove every external link that has possible copyvios. Because then, there wouldn't be any external link left!?? I've removed the word sistersite.--CrashTestSmartie (talk) 21:34, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Haha, Songs aren't by Andain? I'm sure I can think of a few. —Preceding Unsigned comment by unknown user
I deleted that portion, its unnecessary.137.82.13.145 01:13, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like it's not going to make the January 2008 timeline. —Preceding Unsigned comment by unknown user
You're right. Unfortunately I can't find much information about the theoretical new album. —Preceding Unsigned comment by unknown user

I seriously don't get why they never released an album. There are more than enough people who like their music so that it would have been a success. There is now at least one unreleased newish track that can be viewed on Youtube; I really hope they do manage to put a CD on the market this time around. Because I am so gonna buy it. --AmindForeverVoyaging (talk) 22:31, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Which song is on Youtube? I've the 4 listed as unreleased songs on this page...but none of those are really "newish", are they? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 302 Zoe (talkcontribs) 19:20, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Josh Gabriel played it in a DJ set at the Karma club in Brownsville, Texas. The track is seemingly calles "Promises" and the Youtube link is as follows: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLSASRStS4g —Preceding unsigned comment added by AmindForeverVoyaging (talkcontribs) 21:51, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

the theoretical album "Beautiful Things (2004)" has never been officially announced; neither has the following track list, which also includes a track not by Andain (namely Speak In Symphony) - 84.202.97.186 (talk) 03:27, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

article links

[edit]

Mavie Marcos has no significant recognition aside from her role in this musical act; hence there is no demand for an article under her name, so i have decided to remove the links on behalf of that... I has unique username (talk) 19:03, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

recent edits

[edit]

I see that a few issues were recently brought forth by Mavie here, that apparently have been claimed to be misleading statements. First of all, I just want to clarify that this article is stitched together by numerous facts from various sources. If any of the content is subject to false statements, please note that the information here is merely written as presented by its sources. In that regard, the sources have also been judged by reasoning and discernment to verify their reliability. The article per se is merely intended to present a neutral, factual overview of the band's history.

The first apparent claim is that Dave Dresden has had nothing to do with the band. However, in the article he was – as of recent edits – noted to follow along the band as a co-writer (not claimed to be a member). This statement was backed up by a blog post on Dave's myspace, posted on Desember 06, 2006 where he wrote "(...) josh and i are going to go into the studio tomorrow with mavie marcos and david penner to finally record the first proper Andain album." This was later confirmed to also be taking place, as written in a subsequent blog post from September 27, 2007.

The second apparent claim seems to state that "You Once Told Me" was never officially released. This claim is however proven questionable by the fact that the song appears on the compilation album Chillout 05: The Ultimate Chillout, which, according to this source, was released thru Nettwerk in 2004, and is also being sold on Amazon. If anything should be noted about this release, do please provide some facts.

At last, I noticed that Dave's name was edited out in the second paragraph under History. I just want to clarify that this line was intended to refer to Josh and Dave as Gabriel & Dresden and their project schedule, which claim should be validated by the cited sources.

If you are of the opinion that any of the statements at issue should be edited, do please share your interest on this talk page.

After some considerate thought, I did notice now how the note about Dave appeared misleading...so with respect to Mavie's desire, I have removed it. I was previously under the impression that both "Beautiful Things" and "Summer Calling" were co-written with Dave...but I realize now that I misinterpret the fact that they were released as Gabriel & Dresden remixes, and not original band versions. It's my understanding now that the trio broke up in 2005 and reformed in 2007 as Josh and Mavie, while Penner and Dresden would join them in the studio as unrelated co-writers. I apologize for any confusion and conflict this issue may have caused...

citing their style ?

[edit]

Why would a citation be needed for the description of Andain's sound ? Anyone who know their singles "Summer Calling" and "Beautiful Things" should find this statement true. You can also find a sample on the page for "Beautiful Things".

solo work and "Turn Up the Sound"

[edit]

The mention of "Turn Up the Sound" was out of chronology, so I integrated this further in the article. Also, I suggest you place the statement of Mavie's solo work to the article under her name, as it seems better integrated there. But you ought to reconsider the statement about her solo album, if you can't cite it to a source. On that note, even an archived cache will do.

Your statement has been cut and pasted next to this paragraph, with its corresponding citation and the addition of appropriate wiki tags. But I've hidden the text for mere aesthetic reasons, so you'll have to click Edit to see it →
