Ancient near eastern cosmology → Cosmology in the ancient Near East – Or at the very least Ancient Near Eastern cosmology—I have no idea how this hasn't gotten properly capitalized yet. Remsense ‥ 论 12:35, 23 August 2024 (UTC)

- In favor of the move.
- As a side note it strikes me as problem is that the article is a wastebasket, tbh, and the contributor(s) seem to have questionable grasp of basic terminology ("Babylonia, Sumer and Akkad" is a pretty random selection of terms referring to parts of Mesopotamia in different time periods, and that's right in the lead; or "Ugaritic and West Semitic" - Ugaritic was a West Semitic language last I've checked, but I'm morbidly curious how some sort of singular "West Semitic cosmology" would even function seeing as ex. Phoenicians in first mil BCE Sidon and Tyre had little, if any, in common with ex. Amorites c. 1800 BCE culturally beyond speaking relatively closely related languages...). Also while I can maybe sort of justify treating the entire "cuneiform world" as one unit, there is very little reason for lumping Egypt together with Mesopotamia... - "Ugaritic and West Semitic" does not appear in article ? lead says "the Levantine or West Semitic cosmologies from Ugarit and ancient Israel and Judah" which is the same as your version is it not? Pogenplain (talk) 21:14, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
- The phrasings also "West Semitic cosmologies" (2x in article), not "West Semitic cosmology" (0x in article), so i doesnt see how it implies a singular West Semitic cosmology existed? Pogenplain (talk) 21:15, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
- Im on board with Cosmology in the ancient Near East. Pogenplain (talk) 21:09, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
Whatever the outcome, might I suggest that initial-letter capitalisation of "Ancient Near East" be considered? This is primarily because it is frequently referred to as "ANE". Feline Hymnic (talk) 13:20, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- the phrase doesn't seem to have ancient capitalized in Ancient Near East itself, so that is what I'm going with. Remsense ‥ 论 13:22, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Capitals is not needed https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Ancient_Near_East#Capitalization Pogenplain (talk) 15:21, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
