This page is actually quite interesting and valuable in understanding China's intellectual history. However, it is poorly written, and the first section and second section essentially repeat the same information. Moreover, the broader picture is not given. A person reading this would have difficulty figuring out what the fuss is all about.

Unsupported statement
[edit]The assertion that "In reality, the burning of the books probably did little more than symbolically burn a few copies of the Confucian books conveniently at hand in the capital," really needs to be backed up with something to show its value or removed completely. If this is the case, then the difficulty (and even the necessity) of the work done by Liu Xiang and Liu Xin to recompile all the books that had been damaged is compromised. 202.119.55.8 (talk) 08:11, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Old Texts. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20120425130742/http://chin.nju.edu.cn/zwx/wxs/czc/sinology2007206.pdf to http://chin.nju.edu.cn/zwx/wxs/czc/sinology2007206.pdf
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Article move
[edit]Why is this article called Ancient Script Texts rather than Old Text Confucianism? I can only find the phrase Old Text Confucianism in the academic works. Aelmsu (talk) 17:40, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
