Binnenhof tram stop and Amstelveen bus station...
[edit]I'm not sure about these two being well connected: it's a walk of about 5 minutes. Just thought I'd mention it. Regards, MartinD, on the Dutch Wikipedia (and not having an account here).
Zuid Station
[edit]Line 5 no longer serves its platforms at Zuid and doesn't appear to have done so for some time as the tram/metro pointwork has been removed. Trams now turn off Beethovenstraat along Strawinskylaan and then onto Parnassusweg to join the Metro route at the start of Buitenveldertlaan. There are stops in Strawinskylaan and under the ring road on Parnassusweg. Maybe there was a good reason for the change but it destroys the usefulness of the old arrangements and introduces a possible hazard where inbound trams cross the outbound metro on the flat. Stub tags
[edit]I noticed that user:CAPTAIN RAJU removed {{Netherlands-transport-stub}} and {{Europe-tram-stub}} from IJtram, and that user:Berek has added {{tram-stub}} to A.J. Ernststraat tram stop but not to rest of a series of similar articles. Is there a definition of "stub"? I have been rather busy expanding a number of neglected Netherlands tram articles. (The tram stop series of articles were created in 2014, and I only recently updated and expanded their descriptions. At the moment, I have little more to add to them, and considering how neglected they used to be, I doubt anyone else has anything to add.) Thus, should I be removing the stub tags from the following articles? Thanks. TheTrolleyPole (talk) 22:58, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
IJtram certainly looks more than stub-like now, (User talk:TheTrolleyPole). I think you're well-justified in removing the stub tag. My main activity is adding categories, but I do often add stub tags when the article looks like it needs a boost, and add wikiproject tags as well. Thank you for all your hard work on the trams! Undo name change
[edit]@Wikishovel changed this article's name and removed "(Amsterdam)" from it.
The reasoning was "Remove unnecessary parentheses/disambiguator". I disagreed with this, as there are several Tramlijn 5 in existence, for example in Rotterdam and Antwerp.
I don't think that Tramlijn 5 makes it obvious and clear enough that this is regarding the Amsterdam tram.

- Hello User:Chocom. On English Wikipedia, we don't disambiguate page titles unless there's more than one page to disambiguate: please see Wikipedia:Disambiguation.
- But creating articles for the tram lines in Rotterdam and Antwerp is a good idea, and I'm happy to help with that if you like. If a second article exists, and there's no obvious WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, then we would need parentheses in the title. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 10:54, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
