Taxobox terminology

[edit]

Why not [[Animalia]], [[Mollusca]], and [[Cephalopoda]] on the edit page, after all Animalia, Mollusca, and Cephalopoda are true taxonomic terms and it is "taxo" box. Animal, mollusc, and cephalopod as in [[Animal]]ia, [[Mollusc]]a, and [[Cephalopod]]a are simply vernacular or common terms. J.H.McDonnell (talk) 14:16, 9 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Because the pages Animalia, Mollusca, and Cephalopoda are all redirects to the vernacular names, people viewing the Ammonoceratites taxobox see the names Animalia, Mollusca, and Cephalopoda eitherway, however, is you link to the pages Animalia, Mollusca, and Cephalopoda, you force the computer of anyone who clicks those links to have to process an extra redirect and they end up on the pages Animal, mollusc, or cephalopod. Its forcing extra processing to get the same result.--Kevmin § 20:29, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
