I think people are a little confused about what group of people this article is describing, so I think that should be made clear... A Mexican of American descent is either an immigrant to Mexico from the United States, or a person born in Mexico with and American parent, grandparent, etc. This article should not be including Mexican immigrants to the United States, nor Americans of Mexican descent. Thus, Lila Downs and Herculez Gomez are Mexicans of American descent, while Frankie J and Kid Cudi are not. The pictures of the latter two should probably be removed from the article. American communities in Mexico include Guadalajara, Tijuana (thought to have the largest American colony), San Felipe, Baja California and Cancun, areas known for tourism, business and retirement. Currently about a million American expatriates live in Mexico, but include the number of descendants such as US-born Mexicans returning to their parents' homeland, there could be 3.5 million. Mexico's thriving car manufacturing factories attract workers from the US and throughout Mexico instead of entering the US for work. 67.49.89.214 (talk) 05:17, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Around 1917 a lot of draft dodgers (so-called), went to Mexico; some famous later. Katherine Anne Porter and other left-wing or liberal writers and artists, photographers also went at the time. 1940s/50s exiles include leading CPUSA members, writer George Oppen and others.--80.157.2.254 (talk) 16:46, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It isn't. That's bad titling as well. Sadly it's become too engrained to change. But we don't usually use the construction for anyone outside the United States and it doesn't create any sort of precedent. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:32, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
