Hey all, I'm the WikiProject Cities assessor of this article. If feedback is what you want and need, come to my talk page and give me a holler! --Starstriker7(Dime algoor see my works) 00:28, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Ambleside & Waterhead Panorama 2, Cumbria, England - Oct 2009.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on March 14, 2014. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2014-03-14. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. Thanks! — Crisco 1492 (talk) 22:58, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wordsworth's Office?

[edit]

This article previously had a section under notable buildings referring to Wordsworth's house. This was rightly reworded, since the house is in Rydal not Ambleside - however, is the section that remains about his office really notable enough to remain included, particularly in this section? At the end of the day, it's fairly anonymous a stamp office. I've removed this section and reincorporated the small amount of information about Wordsworth's tenure into the history section... - HIGHFIELDS (TALKUPLOADS) 19:41, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This link was added to the article after discussion on the WP Reliable Sources Noticeboard. See: WP:RSN exercise. No information from the CCHT link has been put into the body of the article in the form of citations because it has not yet been verified for 100% accuracy by the Victoria County History project for Cumbria. (This will take some years to do). Laplacemat (talk) 10:38, 09 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Waterhead

[edit]

The pier is called Ambleside Pier, not Waterhead Pier. 90.249.6.186 (talk) 06:03, 31 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
