Still Public Domain?

[edit]

Does anyone know if this character is still in the public domain? It was my understanding that once a character like this fell into public domain, that's where it stayed but an acquaintance who is doing some inking on Marvel's new "Iron Fist: Immortal Weapons" stories said he is pretty certain Marvel now owns John Aman. Can anyone clarify whether the character is still public domain? I think the information would be important to the article. 64.222.94.132 (talk) 13:33, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I guess no-one knows. I would think that as you say, the original character is public domain and always will be. Anything that Marvel (or anyone else) later added I would think is copyright though. -- Beardo (talk) 23:25, 13 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
