The article needed a lot of work, and I have just started. Is there a standard form for articles on islands? Jd2718 01:25, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You could get some tips about how to organize the article from similar articles. Take a look at Skiathos for example. I also think a good example is the Milos article, as well as the Kefalonia, although the latter is also a prefecture, so there could be differences. --Michalis Famelis (talk) 14:17, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Alonnisos (?)

[edit]

The Greeks call this place Αλόννησος, which would transliterate to Alónnisos. Furthermore, I think that we should distinguish between the island and the municipality. The Municipality includes the islands of Adelfoi, Gioura, Kyra Panagia, Peristera, Piperi, Psathoura, and Skantzoura. This latter statement goes for not only this article, but all articles where the name of the island is the same as the name of the municipality, of which there are quite a few in Greece.
