Alicia Marin → Alicia Marín – name with í Sander.v.Ginkel (Talk) 10:10, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
- Support - Use of diacritics is well extended. Pristino (talk) 12:43, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
- Support WP:ESMOS In ictu oculi (talk) 13:23, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
- Support per the above. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 19:13, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
- Support per all. PointsofNoReturn (talk) 03:50, 11 March 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:UE, WP:UCN, and WP:DIACRITICS, which says we should defer to English language reliable sources. All English sources that I can see do not list her name with an accent.[1][2][3] and others seen from a Google search for her. I'm not seeing any compelling reason to make this move in the requests or supports above. In particular, WP:ESMOS is an explicitly dead redirect as it is not an established guideline. — Amakuru (talk) 11:51, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
- Comment The mentioned references are references where names are written with capital letters. All names are written when writing in capitals without accents. Sander.v.Ginkel (Talk) 14:17, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
- The first and third sources have the name in lower case as well:
Alicia Marin, whose nickname is ALICIA, is a student who represents Spain at archery.
