This article seems pointless
[edit]I'm all for having an article on the main character of the RE films, but a bulk of this is just the plot of the movies, which is already in their own articles.-=Worloq=- 21:17, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
- I agree. Most of this is a very detailed re-tell of the plots, which I think is considered copyright violation. I'm attempting to try and re-do the Characters in the Resident Evil films article, but I wanted to try and fix this one as well. But someone could seriously start cutting down the crazy long Resident Evil: Extinction section of this article.-Lindsey8417 23:07, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
- I think she should keep her artilce, she's earned it. She is a major charactar of the movies now and I think people deserve to know where this character came from and all that. Besides most of the other resident evil characters do the same thing where their plotline is somewhat a copy of the plot from the games and they still have their article.
Picture
[edit]I think we should have a different picture of Milla Jovovich as Alice. First off, the picture currently shown isnt even in the movie, its part of a deleted scence, which isnt useful in her page. I have hundreds of screen shots. I'm going to change it to one that I think is more appropriate, if anyone opposes, then fine. We can discuss it here.
Criticism?
[edit]I think that a lot of people criticise her character as being a Mary Sue (especially since she has Godmod powers at the end of Apocalypse, and steals all of Jill's action) and, the Jill Valentine article mentions that she relies more on brute strength than her wits, by comparison to Jill. Is a section on criticism warranted? Darien Shields 04:57, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- I believe that a section of criticism is warranted, as it is the Character Analysis' of the rest of RE Character. You can make it if you want as long as it mantains itself neutral and based on things without exagerations.
- I think that falls under OR, which is not allowed. Personally I dislike her character (yes, I consider her to be a Mary Sue, considering she was dating the director Paul Anderson at the time and she practically upstages the established game characters in part 2) and the Resident Evil film franchise as a whole. It's a good thing that Capcom essentially disowned the films by keeping them separate from the games. Jonny2x4 06:58, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Is it true that the of her name came from Alice in Wonderland?
This is Alice in ZOMBE LAND?
Paul W S Anderson sucks... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.178.93.96 (talk) 10:24, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Alice is a blight to the Resident evil series. She alone has ruined the franchise. She has no place in the resident evil world and should have died in the first seconed she was shown in the first movie. When she was normal that was bad enough but when it was shown that she had telekinesis I knew the franchise was ruined. She sould have died long ago. She has no place. She should be wiped from existence. Murdered without mercy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.108.150.84 (talk) 20:03, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- Original research and stupid opinions are the blight of Wikipedia, Comments like that alone have ruined the encyclopedia. Bias opinions have no place on the talk page, and such comments should be deleted the first second that they are added. When the comments are unhelpful and inappropriate it is bad enough, but when it is just ridiculous personal feelings then the talk page is ruined. They should have been deleted long ago. They have no place. They should be wiped from the talk pages. Deleted because this page is not a forum.195.194.150.129 (talk) 09:32, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Yeah curse you and your bloody opinions! Original thought? What blasphemy! This is not a place to be informal, you should pump out whatever positively biased nonsense is spoon fed to you. Now get back to your inflating the ego of those worthless filmmakers who couldn't produce a coherent story to save your life. Wikipedia bids it so! 67.70.163.166 (talk) 18:44, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

Deletion
[edit]I have just deleted the part where it says her titties are shown in both movies. This is inappropiate.
Good job, but that thing at the top of the article should be deleted aswell. Slimming it down would make it bad. I saw the Albert Wesker article, and it being slimmed down sucks.201.141.239.174 23:43, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
Alice mirrors several characters?
[edit]Could it be noted who some of those characters might be? 76.5.52.119 15:59, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- Nope, that would be original research unless a verifiable source can be found. Jonny2x4 15:29, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- You can't consider "god" here to be mirrored on any character.--Jakezing (talk) 21:48, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Removed section in 'Creation and Concept'
[edit]"Apparently, she also has great regenerative abilities as she is able to suck energy from the surrounding air and regenerate her fatal wounds at the end of Apocalypse." ---- To my immediate recollection (and it is immediate), Alice never displays this type of ability in Resident Evil: Apocalypse (or Extinction for that matter). In descriptions about the character in Characteristics section
[edit]I dont think the term "Ass-Kicking person" is an enciclopedyc term, it should be changed —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bloodawn5 (talk • contribs) 07:06, 26 September 2010 (UTC)
The Reception of Alice/Article Mergers
[edit]I don't think a section about the character's reception should be added until enough reliable sources have been complied to create a objective description of both the positive and negative reception of the character. Adding just the negative will appear slanted and one-sided. Also, why is it that there's a notice that suggests that Alice's article should be merged (most likely with the "List of Characters from Resident Evil") with another article (if I read properly)? All the central protagonists and antagonists have their own article, why is hers suddenly unnecessary? Lily Ford (talk) 02:44, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- I didn't see a merger notice...could you provide a link? There does seem to be some discussion on the subject at the top of this page, and I would tend to agree that if the article's subject has little real-world discussion and that isn't likely to change, then the subject may not be notable enough to merit its own article. Thanks. Doniago (talk) 14:29, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Drawn and Quartered
[edit]Not sure if my comments should be added to the article, but thought I should comment on a section. The Weapons section talks about Alice's use of "a pair of 10-gauge double-barrelled shotguns" in Afterlife which are "oddly loaded with quarters". Is this not a reference to being drawn and quartered ? --TenguTech(Talk) 11:11, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
Long Article
[edit]The longer page has more information on the character and links to the references.

Requested move 28 June 2016
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: No move. There is no agreement that the proposed name is sufficiently well known to serve as an appropriate title. Cúchullain t/c 13:53, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
Alice (Resident Evil) → Janus Prospero – This is the character's real name which serves as a WP:NATDAB so that we don't need to use an ugly parenthesized title. Both names were introduced in the same film so Alice hasn't been known to the public longer. Even if it is more well-known, we don't have to use it as the primary title so long as the chosen title is appropriate. She's only known as Alice to friends and family so it was a household nickname and not the name she was known as legally or to most of society. 64.231.169.3 (talk) 01:58, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:COMMONNAME. NATURAL disambiguation should not be used if an obscure name is required. This article is about a fictional character, how would she be known
legally or to most of society

Alicia Marcus
[edit]I don't think saying that "her real name is revealed to be Alicia Marcus" is correct. Alicia Marcus is a different character (also played by Milla Jovovich) of which Alice is a clone. She was given the name "Alice" (or "Project Alice") when she was created. She was never meant to be called Alicia Marcus, the same way the Red Queen wasn't. Kumagoro-42 21:11, 23 March 2017 (UTC)

[edit]- Put the image from the first part. After all, this is her debut and even there she is popular and better. --213.87.86.207 (talk) 04:51, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
