Ad-Doho or Al-Doho

The Arabic definite article "Al" is always written the same way, but its pronunciation varies. If it is followed by a noun that begins with a so-called "sun letter," the "l" in the article changes to that letter and is pronounced as a doubled consonant. In transliteration into the Latin alphabet, the article should reflect the pronunciation (e.g., Ar-Riyadh). Woy23 (talk) 15:48, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
