Apparent Discrepancies in Chronology
[edit]The article states that "the airline was established on March 25, 2001" but "started operations in April 1994" and "In December 1997 Aerosvit Flight 241 crashed near Thessaloniki." Could the authors clarify when this airline started? Wahwahnyc (talk) 22:48, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
New owners?
[edit]According to the acting head of Ukraine’s State Property Fund, [1][2]. I this reliable? — Mariah-Yulia • Talk to me! 01:33, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
- It's reliable. I've archived it for future uses in the article.

- Removed Berlin, Ganja, Baku too. Regarding new routes everyone listed is vouched for except Tokyo, no reference or source for it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.155.59.74 (talk) 20:32, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
The capital of Ukraine is the City of Kyiv - Article 20 of Ukrainian Constitution
[edit]Article 20 - The capital of Ukraine is the City of Kyiv - http://www.rada.gov.ua/const/conengl.htm#r1
Yes, google finds more for Kiev than Kyiv, but you shouldn't ignore changes. When you come to KBP you see Kyiv written in yellow colour on the terminal B. Still ignoring? Should we change ukrainian constitution only due to google search result? Definetly, no!!! Of course in USSR Kyiv in every foreign press was spelled as Kiev. As a result it caused a habit to spell name of the capital of Ukraine in wrong way even up to day, but we are not living in USSR anymore. We are living in independent Ukraine and the capital of this country is Kyiv. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SWC (talk • contribs) 16:09, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- The proper place to discuss this issue is Talk:Kiev/naming. In accordance with the 3rd general guideline of our naming conventions for geographic names, all articles use consistently the name used as title of the article on the Ukrainian capital (currently, Kiev). - Best, Ev (talk) 17:00, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
2012 delays and cancellations
[edit]The airline (namely those four it controls for the Privat Group) is under a storm this year because of outrageous cancellations. It seems one instance more and Boryspil would kick them out:) Would anyone develop the issue so that I won't be the only Ukrainian economy WP editor? Happy edits, Ukrained2012 (talk) 18:30, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
Done, together with the airline itself((( Ukrained2012 (talk) 19:37, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
The first long-haul airliners claim
[edit]The claim inserted in one of the pic captions seems dubious. There have been long-haul flights from Kyiv and other Ukraine cities long before independence. For instance, I have flown Il-62 and Il-86 planes which are exactly long-haul jets. We may reasonably suggest that some of those jets remained in Ukraine after 1992 and were the first ones. Happy edits, Ukrained2012 (talk) 10:44, 16 February 2013 (UTC)
- Actually, most of the history section includes unsourced claims.--Jetstreamer Talk 13:15, 16 February 2013 (UTC)
- I wouldn't even care if it wasn't about a formerly "great leap in Ukraine air travel", monopoly and the all-mighty Privat Group. May be you aviation experts could help with such issues. Thank you for feedback. Ukrained2012 (talk) 02:57, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
- Aerosvit was the first Ukrainian airline to fly Western-built widebodied aircraft. I've added this claim in the text with a reference supporting it.--Jetstreamer Talk 01:15, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
