In the article George Engel it says 'His last words were, "Hurrah for Anarchy! This is the happiest moment of my life!"'. So they both said this? SpeakFree (talk)(contribs) 14:55, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Number Killed at McCormick Plant

[edit]

"After the riot at the McCormick Reaper Plant on May 3, 1886, in which several workers were killed..."I am asking for a citation for the number killed. The Revenge Circular said six were killed, and I've seen this mistake attributed to what Spies and Fischer read in the newspaper, but never seen a paper cited. But it appears the real number killed was one. See Messer-Kruse, Trial of the Haymarket Anarchists, p. 68: "Prosecutor Grinnell pointed out the curious discrepency between the text of the Revenge Circular which claimed that the police 'killed six of your brothers at McCormicks this afternoon' and the fact that at the time news reports indicated that one and at most two men had been fatally wounded. (In the end one man, Joseph Srauick, Jr., died of his wounds the following day.)" User:AecwriterAECwriter 01:30, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
