Lowest level + use in infoboxes

[edit]

Great - but could this be expanded to the lowest level? Yuwangtai District is 410205 on the list you link; here are its subdivisions [1], then here are the subdivisions of our friend Wangtun Township (410205201) [2]; do you think these codes should be in the infoboxes? I think it would be helpful as it potentially is a tremendous tool for error correction/disambiguation. I even think that by using this data in a centralized way, we could have more information automatically generated. Chinese wikipedia does it with geodata quite succesfully (generated with a template), and íf' they base that on a reliable source, I suggest we try to copy that approach... I wo'n't do it myself, as working with Chinese languate as just a bit too many pitfalls. (at user talk:Jaguar I made the case for this already, but do not wish to stalk his talkpage further with this discussion) L.tak (talk) 14:38, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Postal codes

[edit]

There is a potential issue with duplication on administrative/postal codes, which I'm not sure how to address. For example there is already a List of postal codes in China although the article states that it is incomplete. The Chinese list zh:中华人民共和国境内地区邮政编码列表 is probably complete.► Philg88 ◄ talk 06:56, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
