Make this an article

[edit]

There is enough meat here to make it an article. Peter Horn User talk 03:33, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This page was moved to mainspace yesterday by an admin. I'm going to remove the merge template as it is no longer needed. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 11:10, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I requested the move. The redirect was the wrong way to go about this. — RickyCourtney (talk) 15:37, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Name

[edit]

Isn't it just Acela (trainset)? Acela Express is a service. This article should be renamed to Acela (trainset) instead, as that's the given name for the train. Acela Express is a given name for the service. Footy2000 (talk) 04:13, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Acela Express was the name for the service. Amtrak renamed it to simply Acela in 2019. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 13:32, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So, shouldn't this article be renamed to Acela (trainset)? Footy2000 (talk) 19:30, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'd go ahead and propose a move and see if there are any objections. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 20:00, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The question is whether sources followed the change when discussing the trainset. Trains magazine, for example. Mackensen (talk) 20:23, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Speed has increased in NJ to 150mph and should be reflected.

[edit]

Speed improvements in New Jersey to 150mph from 135. https://media.amtrak.com/2022/06/amtrak-increasing-speed-of-acela-trains-in-new-jersey-through-infrastructure-investments-and-improvements/ 69.115.145.209 (talk) 01:04, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
