Fair use rationale for Image:Acclaim.PNG

[edit]

Image:Acclaim.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:57, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's really a moot point whether it's fair use or not... it's not the correct logo. The Akklaim logo is for a now defunct company. Deleted the image. - Kevin —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.28.237.150 (talk) 20:16, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Acclaim.gif

[edit]

Image:Acclaim.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

PUB

[edit]

This page is only PUB. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.157.75.70 (talk) 02:23, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed

[edit]

I would like to dispute the part of the article "The company has, to this date, released five games: BOTS (which was its launching title), 9Dragons, 2Moons, Ponystars, and Dance Online. All five games have been commercially launched". At least 2Moons has NOT been officially released -- it is still in open beta as of Oct. 5, 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kbidd (talkcontribs) 03:34, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Citation Needed

[edit]

"The number [of players] has since substantially increased due to the increasing popularity of 2Moons and the upcoming Chronicles of Spellborn."

Browsing through the games forums it appears there are a lot of people leaving the games due to the problems with them (2moons in this case). I don't know how to add the "citation needed" tag to the above quoted sentence.

Ok, I figured it out and added the tags.

Private Server Advertising

[edit]

Someone is editing this article to advertise a private server of one of the defunct games Acclaim provided. This shouldn't be on the Acclaim page, especially when hundreds of these servers exist for all of Acclaim's old games. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.107.231.153 (talk) 13:48, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
