Oppose The subject is a notable rights activist, the books are independently notable. Feel free to add content but I am against redirecting any of the 3 articles. Venkat TL (talk) 10:56, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Merge The books arent bestsellers, secondly they are more of a reflection of the author's ideological beliefs so I think they can better explain the context within Aakar Patel's stub. Amitized (talk) 12:03, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Almost all book reviews of both books are positive about the book, zero critical reviews. Doesnt it sound like sock puppetry? Amitized (talk) 11:56, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Amitized The price of Modi years is currently listed on the bestseller page of Amazon even after six months. It was #1 few weeks back. So I am not sure what you are talking about. The book passes Wikipedia's notability criteria for books. Venkat TL (talk) 17:23, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This page pretends to be a biography page, but in reality it is just a current news item with a shell added around it. There is a section called "Activism", which says nothing more than the fact that he was an Amnesty director. Neither is there any information about the case against him, for which he was stopped from leaving the country. All drama and no substance, as far as I can see. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 21:01, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What is your proposal, what do you want to do with it? what do you want to add? Please provide ref. What balance is off? His witchhunting is the government retaliating for his activism, what section do you want to move it to? Venkat TL (talk) 08:19, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Rome was not built in a day. This article will not reach FA. Lack of sourcing is the issue here. The point of my reply and this thread is to understand what can be done to fix the glaring problem in this article. If you are not able to point them or suggest solutions, then I will remove the tag. Venkat TL (talk) 20:02, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for admitting the problem. And no thanks or threatening to remove the tag. You have been through an WP:ARE cycle once already.
You are allowed to ask for help if you can't figure out how to do something. But don't combine it with vitriole.
Kautilya3 You have added a tag that says, "This section may be unbalanced towards certain viewpoints. Which and how to fix it? If your problem is article expansion as you have explained above, then you are using the wrong tag. Either use the correct one or remove thi, or suggest way to fix the balance. --Venkat TL (talk) 16:47, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have expanded based on whatever was available, if you believe something is still lacking please share sources as nothing can be added without a source. Venkat TL (talk) 11:48, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Still wildly unbalanced. Two sentences to cover everything between 2002 and 2019, but three huge paragraphs for the events of the last month. This is also called WP:RECENTISM. The intervening paragraph on the supposed "case" doesn't even state what the case is, when it was filed, and what its status is. If I were to retitle the page as "Aakar Patel's passport", I wouldn't be far off the mark. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 12:25, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
