Close Paraphrasing

[edit]

This article has some or more phrases copied directly from the mentioned sources. Please see [1] and [2]. It may contain more such phrases from other sources.  Abhishek  Talk 17:05, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed two sentences that I felt may be close paraphrased. I didn't find any other, so I removed the tag. --Anirudh Emani (talk) 13:35, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I have restored the tag. The article still has issues. Please do not remove without a proper explanation.  Abhishek  Talk 06:42, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Do mention some because I seriously don't think there are. I will try to help as much as I can. --Anirudh Emani (talk) 11:25, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for addressing those issues. I've done a spot-check of the article in evaluating its automatic listing at the copyright problems board, and I did not find any issues myself, so I have removed the tag. If there are ongoing issues, please help identify them by pointing out problematic areas when you retag. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 10:32, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Happy to review. Sainsf <^>Feel at home 17:55, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Let me know the comments! Magentic Manifestations (talk) 18:33, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nice article. Here are my comments:

  • Lead:
  • joint venture with AirAsia Berhad holding 49% of the airline, Tata Sons holding 40.06% and Telestra Tradeplace having the remaining 10% in the airline Better rephrase this as "joint venture with AirAsia Berhad holding 49% stake in the airline, Tata Sons holding 40.06% and Telestra Tradeplace holding the remaining 10%." Please check that the meaning is the same.checkY
  • What exactly is Telestra Tradeplace?checkY
  • Air Asia India commenced operations on 12 June 2014 with Bangalore as its primary hub. Would look better in first para.checkY
  • The company marked Tata's return to aviation industry after 60 years, having ceded Air India in 1946. Would look better in second para.checkY

Thanks, Magentic Manifestations. Now, continuing with the rest of the article:

  • History:
  • foreign direct investment of up to 49% "in airlines"?checkY
  • with Tata sons "S"onscheckY
  • ₹1.25 (1.9¢ US)/available seat kilometer "/" would look better as "per". "Kilometre" as per BE.checkY
  • The introduction of AirAsia was expected to By whom?checkY
  • an amount of US$50 million Could be converted to INR. (stated originally in US$, so did not convert)
  • rent/lease aircraft The slash could be better replaced by "or".checkY
  • AirAsia India was established on 28 March 2013. AirAsia is the first foreign airline to set up a subsidiary in India. Can be combined.checkY
  • as its secondary hub Remove "as".checkY
  • after IndiGo and SpiceJet with "SpiceJet, with"checkY
  • Corporate affairs:
  • founder of AirAsia group announced "group, announced"checkY
  • airline, however the latter refused "airline; however, Tata refused"checkY
  • Somewhere you say "chairman", elsewhere "Chairman".checkY
  • chief adviser "advisor" (BE)checkY
  • Destinations:
  • If each entry has a source then what is ref. 29 for?(think, no harm in additional reference from airline website.)
  • Fleet:
  • Link Airbus.
  • import 10 A320-200 aircraft Would be better to say "ten" here.checkY
  • AirAsia India on 21 March 2015 "On 21 March 2015, AirAsia India"checkY
  • and the is registered as VT-APJ Error?checkY
  • Honor --> Honour (BE).checkY
  • Sources:

I think that should be it. These addressed, I would be happy to promote this. Cheers! Sainsf <^>Feel at home 04:26, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sainsf, done!Magentic Manifestations (talk) 07:35, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Very well, promoted. Cheers! Sainsf <^>Feel at home 07:36, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The statement "As of February 2016, AirAsia India is the third largest low cost carrier in India, after IndiGo and SpiceJet with a market share of 2.2%." is inaccurate. The third largest low-cost carrier in India is GoAir. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Btarunr (talkcontribs) 15:04, 26 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Eventually moving it back to Air Asia (India)?

[edit]

For most of its existence it was Air Asia (India), AIX Connect appears to be a "placeholder" never intended to be a separate brand but some sort of transitioning AI owned entity. AIX Connect was never painted on aircraft (the aircraft were simply stripped of Air Asia branding and repainted in Air India Express colours)[3], the brand never sold its own tickets and isn't really WP:RECOGNIZABLE. Would like get a few opinions on this. Pinging @LeoFrank:,@Sunnya343:,@Jetstreamer:. Bingobro (Chat) 09:34, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. Once the complete merger is effective, this page should be moved back to Air Asia India and its history as an Air Asia subsidiary preserved. We shouldn't merge the page with Air India Express.  LeoFrank  Talk 14:31, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I also agree with changing the title per WP:RECOGNIZABLE. Sunnya343 (talk) 17:24, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I also agree. Also, fleet numbers should reflect historic fleet rather than be zero. Arnav Bhate (talk) 10:54, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
