This is a work in progress so please be patient. Five Pointz is definitely an important cultural icon of New York City. It is the only place in the city where graffiti is allowed. Artists from around the world come here to do their work. On March 11, for example, I met an artist from Belgium there who told me that he came to NY just to be able to work on the building. He said that graffiti artist all over Europe know about Five Pointz. In addition, newspapers from all over the USA have had articles on Five Pointz, notable the NY Times.

Again, please be patient!

Sincerely,

Remi Castonguay, professor at LaGuardia Community College Lecturer ; Instructional Technology Librarian / Systems Fiorello H. LaGuardia Community College, CUNY 31-10 Thomson Avenue, Long Island City, NY 11101 (718) 482-6021 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.219.149.95 (talk)

If you are a professor, you should understand the importance of properly formatted citations as opposed to bald assertions. Please provide them, and improve the existing ones according to the Wikipedia-approved format of your choice. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:53, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
