3 ft gauge in Sweden
[edit]The three foot gauge was pretty usual in Sweden too. The only difference was, that the Swedish foot was slightly shorter than the imperial one, meaning 3 (Swedish) ft = 891 mm. I don't know if it should be mentioned in the article, but it might be a factual error to state that only USA and Ireland had 3 ft as the most common narrow gauge. added 5.5mm scale to US section
[edit]This is a niche scale in the US that was heavily promoted by Harold Minkwitz, and his work is now archived by the 5.5mm association in the UK. Although it has never been officially supported, several of Bachmann's On30 products were actually shrunken 3 foot gauge prototypes, particularly the 4-4-0, and are approximately to-scale in 1:55.
