Title?

[edit]

Hi @Another Believer - just a question regarding the title - this is being reported as more than just a nurses strike - possibly better to name after the target of the strike (Providence Health & Services) or health workers strike? Regards, Goldsztajn (talk) 03:11, 14 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'm open to whatever title you and others think is best! ---Another Believer (Talk) 03:17, 14 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm leaning toward "2025 Providence health care strike", but I'm unsure if "Oregon" should be somewhere in the title for recognizability's sake. Happieryet (talk) 05:15, 14 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
2025 Oregon health workers strike? 2025 Providence health workers strike in Oregon? I'm less happy with 2025 Providence Oregon health workers strike as for those unfamiliar it might appear that Providence is a location, rather than the employer. Regards, Goldsztajn (talk) 03:27, 16 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The pattern seems pattern in Category:Labor disputes in Oregon and Category:Health and medical strikes would suggest this be 2025 Providence Health and Services strike. I think a wider RfC would be needed if we change title structure. I personally would have seconded 2025 Oregon health workers strike, but the self-described title over a precise employer name means ambiguity. I dislike healthcare strike, for same reason a prison strike is ambiguous. Did prison guards or prisoners strike (no implied similarities to healthcare)? ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 00:09, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
