@Di (they-them): This article would seem to be outside the scope of WikiProject Firearms, which is primarily focussed on articles about firearms, typically small arms carried individuals, and includes articles about both broad concepts and specific models, ammunition, manufacturers, organizations, legislation, and historical figures such as inventors and notable gunsmiths associated with such firearms. The project appears to exclude criminal offending if the weapon type or model, itself, is not notable as a result of such offending. The article only mentions that a "gun" and a "rifle" were used, and makes no mention of why these weapons are in any other way notable in this crime. I think this banner could be removed. But before I do, why did you think the banner was appropriate to add in the first place? See WP:PROJSCOPE and WP:OVERBANNER. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 23:15, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I included the banner because I was under the impression that gun crimes were under that project; if they are not in that project's scope, I have no objection to removing it. Di (they-them) (talk) 23:41, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
