Vetlanda stabbing attack → 2021 Vetlanda stabbing – Adding "Attack" after "Stabbing" is redundant. Adding 2021 to the start makes it less ambiguous, and in line with other similar pages, such as 2019 London Bridge stabbing — Yours, Berrely • Talk∕Contribs 13:54, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support - If it is in line with other similar articles. --BabbaQ (talk) 18:05, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support - I don't see why it shouldn't. It'd line up with other articles. --Nintenga (talk) 20:55, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
- Comment - Is an axe attack still a 'stabbing'? Source[1] says it was an axe and does not mention a knife, unlike the Wiki article currently does in the body. --FrunkSpace (talk) 02:39, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose - stabbing is inappropriate as it's a singular, even if the weapon had been clarified as being a knife it ought to be stabbings. Secondly, 2021 Vetlanda attack makes no assumption about the weapon used. A Thousand Words (talk) 06:59, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
- Good point @1Kwords, it would make more sense to be “stabbings”. I just thought based on the article above, it should be singular, as “stabbings” suggest there were multiple events that took place at different times. However maybe I am wrong, I'm happy to change the target if so. — Yours, Berrely • Talk∕Contribs 08:09, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
- A number of the victims received life-threatening injuries, i.e. these are therefore attempted murders. why is it so important to remove the word attack? A Thousand Words (talk) 06:24, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
- A stabbing is an attack. Adding “stabbing attack” is redundant. This is in line with multiple other articles. — Yours, Berrely • Talk∕Contribs 11:16, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
- Adding "stabbing" is redundant, that's why I propose 2021 Vetlanda attack which neatly evades an confusion on whether it was an axe or knife. A Thousand Words (talk) 14:53, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

- Neutral, but support Vetlanda stabbing attack → 2021 Vetlanda attack. 2021 Vetlanda stabbing is less wp:concise than 2021 Vetlanda attack in the sense that stabbing also imply the method of attack, which is not needed to achieve wp:precision, and may have issues per A Thousand Words. ~ Aselestecharge-paritytime 15:13, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

The map of the attack
[edit]- @EstrellaSuecia:, I’ve seen your observation on the inappropriate skulls on the commons:Data:Vetlanda stabbing.map. I want to let you know that the icons are fixed.
- @LPfi:, I read your concern on the strange precision of the coordinates on the aforementioned map. The map was adapted from witness reports put in video form on a TV4 (map which is backed up by an article from Aftonbladet). It is so precise because the attacks (and subsequent crime scenes) occured at or near easy to find buildings. The only original research was done on the location of the white building from the video recorded by Olivia Strandberg, when the attacker was arrested. These are the sources in question: TV4 video and timeline article.
Thank you for your interest in transposing articles neutrally into any of the Wikipedia projects, and I’m looking forward to hearing from you. - Victor P. (talk) 21:57, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
