Polling Table
User:VietPride10, please cite the evidence supporting your assertion ``Also do not add minor candidates until, they get poll results with >5%′′ (from [1]). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Etsnev (talk • contribs) 17:12, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
- Whatever the assertion, it's a joke to include the Fabrizio Lee polls. They're completely unreliable - it's not a coincidence that they're run by Republicans and the poll shows a statistical tie in a race where the Monmouth polls (which have historically been very reliable and non-partisan) show the Democratic candidate with a double-digit lead. I suppose the proof will be on Election Day. After the actual results are in I'd like to know if we can ban that polling outfit as being completely unreliable. Wikipedia isn't supposed to give weight to fringe opinions just because they get published - I'm sure there'a a rule against fringe polls too. Benicio2020 (talk) 00:12, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
Questionable endorsements
It seems that all endorsements stated to be for Madelyn Hoffman, the Green Party nominee, are all from non-notable people and/or sourced by Instagram posts from the candidate Hoffman herself, which goes against Wikipedia's guideline on politicial endorsements. I think the entire endorsement box for the candidate should be removed altogether. —twotwofourtysix(My talk page and contributions) 03:16, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
- Agreed. Benicio2020 (talk) 20:51, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
I vehemently disagree and recently included sources independent of the candidate. Also Veronica Fernandez endorsement is notable as she was the fourth-place candidate in the last election while Madelyn got third. I apologize for improperly citing the endorsements originally, as I am new to editing on Wikipedia. Kaleontologist12 (talk) 1:33, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
Sources for Election Results Numbers?
I'm seeing lots of edits to the election results numbers, but can't seem to find the source of those numbers, as they don't seem to match to anything I'm seeing outside of this article. Can the editors, please, indicate sources when making updates to the results numbers? — Preceding unsigned comment added by T3nk3y (talk • contribs) 13:43, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
Left-wing framing in the article
Who cares whether or not Murphy won as a Democratic party member for the first time since 1977 a second term in office? The real massage of this election was its closeness which is a troubling sign for Dems given the fact that Biden won the state by 16 percentage points.
Republicans also appear to have gained many seats in the simultaneously held state legislature elections.

- How exactly is that "left-wing framing"? It seems like a notable bit of trivia. The election results are too recent for there to be any in-depth analysis yet, but I'm sure it'll be added soon enough, as it was in 2021 Virginia gubernatorial election, for example. clpo13(talk) 23:22, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
- If there are only 90% of the votes counted, and AP has called this for Governor Murphy, if the Republican receives 60% of the remaining votes he wins by a good margin. It is an early call by AP.Easeltine (talk) 00:12, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
