Attendance
[edit]Hello
@Jallouljalloul and Kante4: What do you think about using the same attendance table as is used in the article 2015–16 Bundesliga? I think that perhaps a change-column would be interesting.
Best regards /EriFr (talk) 09:39, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
- Change? To last years attendance i assume... What is the source for that as the link does not provide that if i looked right. For my part i say no, not important. Kante4 (talk) 13:08, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
- I agree, is it actually not that important, but on the other hand, I does not need much work and it does not require any maintenance. We just need to change table format and add the last seasons attendance figures, then a mathematical function will calculate the changes automatically. For the last seasons attendance figures, we can use the same source as we do today, which is worldfootball.net. See link below. But allright, I will not proceed for the moment. Thanks for your input!
- I agree with EriFr. I think you should work on the table like you said. Jallouljalloul (talk) 22:26, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
- But where is the source that says what/how big the "change" is (and i don't mean calculating it...)? Still think it's trivia... Kante4 (talk) 22:31, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
- I have started preparing a new table in my sandbox.

- There is no specific source of the change figure. The change figure is presented as a percentage and is calculated mathematically as the current average attendance divided by the previous average attendance (current average attendance/previous average attendance). I have added sources for all figures used in the table.
- I have no idea where this table originally comes from. I can figure out how it works, but I can not see why it works the way it does. The table was added to the 2015–16 Bundesliga article by user Kov 93. I have asked him or her where it comes from and if there is any help page for the table, buy I have not yet received any anwer. /EriFr (talk) 11:33, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Kante4: Where do you find the source for the highest and lowest attendance figures? I know that Soccerway (http://www.soccerway.com) shows this kind of figures, but I can not find them easily on worldfootball.net. /EriFr (talk) 12:04, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
I just don't see the importance for the change from last season to the current season in the article for the CURRENT season. And just calculating it without a source should not be done in my opinion. Kante4 (talk) 14:14, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
- Allright. I understand why you don't think it is important, but I don't understand your point of view regarding sources. Each and every input is sourced. The function is very conventional and it is also calculated automatically. We don't have to update the change figures specifically, they will be updated automatically every time we update the average attendance figures. Anyway. I will not proceed at the moment, the current table is easy to manage and contains the most important figures.
- Kante4: Where do you find the source for the highest and lowest attendance figures? These figures are currently unsourced. /EriFr (talk) 16:07, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
- I don't know where to find them and don't care, to be honest. I did not add them. Kante4 (talk) 15:40, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry, I thought it was you. /EriFr (talk) 18:18, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

Attendance part II
[edit]I am trying to update the attendance figures, but honestly, I do not know how to deal with the highest and lowest attendance figures in an easy way. Soccerway.com[1] shows the highest and lowest attendance figures for individual teams, but doesn't show the attendance figures for the whole league. Worldfooball.net[2] shows the attendance figures for the whole league, but doesn't show the highest and lowest attendance figures for individual teams. We could combine these two, but I am not sure that is such a good idea. How should we do? We could keep and eye on the attendance figures reported for each team and each round and adjust the highest and lowest attendance figure as the change, but this will require a lot of work and a probably also a lot of sources. /EriFr (talk) 11:56, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
