What happened to the casualties chart that was listed before the split? Did people just stop caring after this topic was shunted off the article with the most attention? - 118.101.200.239 (talk) 18:27, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Article's significance

[edit]

I'm not sure if it's worth it to create a separate page for the 2014 DRC Outbreak, where nearly one-third is about history of Ebola in Congo which is shown clearly on the list page. If Congo's cases are really complex and significant to be mentioned, perhaps an article of "Ebola virus outbreaks in Congo" can be launched instead of this one. I agree that it should never have had an article in the first place. Interestingly, I stated that on Jimbo's page because he was the one that said it was important enough for its own article. However, once it was up I used it as a way to give background info. I'm all for your suggestion. What a strange place this is sometimes... Gandydancer (talk) 13:41, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Outbreak map

[edit]

I have deleted the map in the infobox for the following reasons:

  1. Boende is shown at the wrong location.
  2. From the references cited it seems to me that the affected region was actually much smaller and just south of the region shown on the map.

By the way, the creator of the map is long gone. Zoocat56 (talk) 06:41, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
