Stadium & Locations

[edit]

i uploaded the stadium why are you deleting it.its true according to aiff.please check if you think its wrong. . — Preceding unsigned comment added by C7777777 (talkcontribs) 11:19, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

First off, I dont have access to the AIFF and I think we both know very well that it is not true anyway. Right now the Kolkata teams have played at 2 venues this season, Kalyani and the Salt Lake Stadium. In Goa it is 3 stadiums, Duler, Fatorda, and Tilak Maidan. In Maharashtra it is 2 stadiums as well with, Balewadi being home to 3 teams while Delhi's Ambedkar is used by a Maha team. Now, do we know if that will be the same next season or will there be a more clear idea of what stadiums are in use? At this moment we do not know as nothing has told us. We do not know whether in Goa they will have 1 stadium or more. Same in Kolkata and same in Maharashtra. That is why I remove the table, we dont have a clear idea yet. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 12:23, 11 May 2013 (UTC)locations of the club cannot change, only its playing stadium may change.[reply]

Foreigners table

[edit]

Due to the fact that many foreign signings are either unknown, unconfirmed, or confirmed I have decided to create a new table on a userfied page from scratch which we could use to add each foreigner in as they are confirmed for their team. Same with managers and stadiums. Here is the page: User:ArsenalFan700/2013-14 I-league. If anyone has any objections then please make them known here. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 05:36, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Positions by round

[edit]

Positions by round haven't been updated since round 9 and with difference in number of played matches for different teams, it becomes difficult to track. What's the method to keep the consistency? Nadesai (talk) 09:39, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think we've had a similar discussion before in earlier season articles (unfortunately I can't find it!!). The I-League is always hard to track compared to other leagues because the schedule seems so disjointed. In my mind, we have made it to week 11 based on the majorty of games the sides have played. Some would argue that East Bengal are stuck in Week 8 and this is why in previous editions we argued, because they are in position 9 and could potentially play there make up games all before week 12 (this scenario isn't daft, it's happened before) and go shooting up to position 1/2/3 - people not regular to the article then think how the hell did they jump so much!!

I would do the positions now upto week 11. Next games week 12, although some might play 2 games. All because the schedule is so out of sync. What it really needs is some kind of note saying this or a results section similar to the 2013–14 Hong Kong First Division League article but I think this has been tried before and with lack of data then makes it silly - but goalscorers is much easier to find now. This just helps give the neutral reader an idea of the state of the game and when games happened and where they happened, but it takes a lot of time and effort. Druryfire (talk) 12:06, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If there are so much complications due to skewed scheduling, should we consider deleting the section? Even 2013–14 Premier League does not have it. Nadesai (talk) 04:42, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't update that section simply because of the arguments we have had in the passed. I let others update, but if I notice a lack of updates to it, like we have had now, then I will delete it. No point having it, if people can't be bothered to update it is my opinion. Druryfire (talk) 17:22, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's not about people not bothering, but the issues mentioned as above I think. Noone knows how to do it. Nadesai (talk) 11:35, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I go by soccerway as they have rounds. If you did not play then you did not play that round... simple. Games and rounds are different. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 21:15, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I was looking the soccerway for round details and in round 17 it includes a match from 11/03/14. No idea how THAT works. http://int.soccerway.com/national/india/i-league/20132014/regular-season/r22699/ Nadesai (talk) 06:33, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I usually just skip those matches. The majority of the matches were held during specific dates so keep it to that. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 15:21, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This section must be removed from the article, as it is neither supported by any reliable sources nor correct. Presently, it is showing that Bangalore FC is at the top after 24th Round, where as most of the teams have played only 22 matches. And the Soccerway.com source given below to justify the section is unreliable to say the least. It list East Bengal at No. 2 position, when actually Salgaocar is at No. 2. Shovon (talk) 08:49, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You have to understand that not every team will play in every round, at the same time some team will play more than one matches in the same round because of previously postponed matches. We're not using soccerway for position information, just round information, which tallies with the official website as well (most of the times, you can see every round's preview/review on i-league.org). The table also helps the team's performance over the full season. I hope that helps. Coderzombie (talk) 16:14, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Point deductions

[edit]

Salgaocar deducted 1 point. http://www.goal.com/en-india/news/136/india/2013/12/04/4453097/aiff-flexes-disciplinary-muscle-against-salgaocar?ICID=SP Druryfire (talk) 19:44, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not official yet [1]. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 20:14, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

MVP of the match

[edit]

On the official website, I-League declares MVP of the match for every match. Should we include this information? If not match-by-match, at least summary of it? http://i-league.org/?page_id=7692 Nadesai (talk) 09:54, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Because we're inheriting the standard template the tie-breaking criteria says "goal difference", but according to the official site. The first tie-breaker is H2H, not goal difference. Needs to be fixed. Nadesai (talk) 10:22, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fair play points table

[edit]

We have only one source for fair play points table, the official i-league page, which as you can see is way behind. Does anyone else know any other source? Coderzombie (talk) 05:44, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Coderzombie (talk) 09:58, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Things to do

[edit]

Now that the season is over, can anyone think of the information that still needs to be updated in the page? I know fairplay points table is a little out-of-date, but should be taken care of once the official website has updated it. Anything else? Coderzombie (talk) 04:58, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
