Asia-Pacific

[edit]

Can someone clarify what's going on with the Asia-Pacific tournament? The Little League Website says Thailand finished second in Group A. Someone claims CNMI finished second in Group B, but the links posted are all in Chinese. Also, the CNMI-Indonesia game for some reason has no score on the LL site, so I'd like to know where it says that CNMI won if they're listed as 2-2 here. 174.44.10.158 (talk) 12:07, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

According to the translations of the Chinese sources, it was Saipan (CMNI) and that Thailand won a 3rd place game. Ultimately, I'm going to say 3 sources beat one. It would be nice if we could find some that don't require translating though. Smartyllama (talk) 14:02, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article from LittleLeague.org announcing Chinese Taipei's berth to the world tournament says they defeated CNMI in the semifinal.[1] Tampabay721 (talk) 18:38, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Although LL's Facebook page contradicts that by saying "Thailand and South Korea rounded out the final four teams." [2] How can there be so much confusion? Maybe we'll never know. Tampabay721 (talk) 20:27, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Now http://www.littleleague.org/series/2012divisions/llbb/qualify/asiapacific.htm has CNMI as the semifinalist. Tampabay721 (talk) 05:39, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: articles moved Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 02:07, 15 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

– Most other articles that list the results of qualifying games for sports tournaments follow a similar naming convention, by beginning with the year of the even that takes place, such as 2010 FIBA World Championship qualification, 2013 World Baseball Classic – Qualification, and 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification. By moving these articles that I have listed, it would likely make it easier for a reader to find them in a search, without first going to the LLWS tournament of each correlating year.
