In parts of this article the ELF is described as a "collective name for anonymous and autonomous individuals or groups", and in other parts, the ELF is described as an "organisation", saying the attack was "attributed" to the ELF. This is inconsistent and confused - either the ELF is just a name that autonomous collectives use to name their actions (like flash mobs, for example), or it is an organisation.Sumthingweird (talk) 12:34, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
A collective name is probably be the best way to describe it. The way it works is that an individual or a small group do an action, which they decide to call an ELF action. They then anonymously send a press-release to press officers or sympathisers, who give it wider publicity.--Salix alba (talk) 15:05, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
