- "The team was the fourth intercollegiate football squad to represent the United States Naval Academy, and was the first time that the school played a multiple-game season." Needs to be rephrased; currently it has to be parsed as "The team [...] was the first time that ..."
- "starting the seven-year rivalry between the schools": making it "the" seven-year rivalry implies that they have had no rivalry since; is that correct? Or should it be "a seven-year rivalry"?
- Footnotes 11 and 12 go to a Wikipedia page, which isn't allowed; Wikipedia pages are not reliable sources for our purposes.
- Are there any images that could be used? Perhaps an early shot of the academy?
- Was the captain the same person as C.K.G. Billings?
- Checklinks shows a dead link in footnote 2.
-- I'll check for source reliability and close paraphrasing after you respond to the points above, since that might change a couple of sources. I'll place this on hold. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 21:15, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry about such a late response. I believe I have addressed all of your above concerns. Thanks for the review, - A Texas Historian (Talk to me) 00:56, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
- You didn't respond re Billings, so I'm guessing we can't be sure it's him -- it's a pity, because it seems very likely. Anyway, I'm promoting this to GA; congratulations. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 02:24, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
