@Mupper-san: The WP Turkey tag has been removed with the argument that she was not a Turk. She lived from 1930 until her death in 1975 in Turkey as a Turkish citizen and contributed to several social activities. Besides, for your argument that she is not a member of ethnic group, please read Crimean Tatars. CeeGee07:52, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@CeeGee Every person in the world is a member of an ethnic group; this does not mean they should be included under Wikiproject Ethnic Groups, as that is for articles about ethnic groups and not every member thereof. On Turkey, the main scope and content of the article, as well as the vast majority of her feminist and political career in general, were in Crimea, not Turkey, and those in Turkey were primarily conducted with Crimean Tatars. It could just as easily be ruled that, for example, Yaroslav Stetsko should be placed under WikiProject United States, as he lived there from after World War II until his death, but he is not, I suspect for the same reasons.
That everyone in the world is a member of an ethic group is very doubtful. For example, I am Turkish, and not a member of an ethnic group in my country. The definition of "wthnic group" has to be understood carefully. CeeGee08:43, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
