Sarnetki [sarˈnɛtki], is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Giby, within Sejny County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland, close to the borders with Belarus and Lithuania.[4] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south of Giby, 13 km (8 mi) south of Sejny, and 99 km (62 mi) north of the regional capital Białystok.
From 1975-1998 the village was administratively governed by the Suwałki Voivodeship.
History
[edit]The royal village was located at the end of the 18th century in the Grodno County of the Trakai Voivodeship in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.[5]
