Prescott Campbell (born January 10, 2001) is an American former racing driver and engineer.[1][2] He last competed in the 2021 USF2000 Championship with DEForce Racing.[3] Campbell is the 2019 Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series champion.
Racing career
[edit]USF2000 Championship
[edit]On February 10, 2020, it was announced that Campbell would move to the USF2000 Championship for 2020 driving for Exclusive Autosport.[4] He would achieve his first podium at the final race at the New Jersey Motorsports Park round. He ended the season 11th in the standings.
Campbell would return to the series for the 2021 season, however, he would switch to DEForce Racing.[5] He would take his maiden win at the second race at Barber Motorsports Park beating teammate Nolan Siegel.[6] Campbell would take three podiums in total to finish 10th in the championship
Retirement from racing
[edit]On February 25, 2022, Campbell announced on social media that he would be retire from professional racing to pursue a career of being a Formula One engineer.[7]
Post racing career
[edit]In 2022, Campbell announced that he would join Williams Racing Formula One Team as a structural engineer in August of that year for a 12-month placement with the team.[2]
Personal life
[edit]Campbell is a Motorsports Engineering student at Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, England. He is a member of the university's Oxford Brookes Racing.
