Create missing article by translation

How would it work to translate an article from German or Swedish, for example, to create a missing article?

Translations to German require using a mechanism called "Import" prior to performing the translation (or possibly afterwards, if forgotten).
Translations to Swedish are just done, but need to reference the http-permanent link to the actual version the translation came from.

What are the rules for translating to English? I could fill one or two gaps that way.--Bk1 168 (talk) 22:16, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
