[edit]- 1836 – The Lake Wimico and St. Joseph Canal and Railroad, the first steam railroad in Florida, opens.
- 1872 – The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad, building westward from Newton, Kansas, reaches Dodge City, Kansas.[1]
- 1876 – The first through train from San Francisco, arrives in Los Angeles, after traveling over the Southern Pacific Railroad's newly completed Tehachapi Loop.
20th century
[edit]- 1986 – The Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern Railroad begins operations in Minnesota and South Dakota.
21st century
[edit]- 2001 – The extension of Minsk Metro's Avtozavodskaya Line connecting Avtozavodskaya to Mogilevskaya opens.
