[edit]- 1826 – The Mohawk and Hudson Railroad, the first railroad built in New York state, is incorporated.
- 1882 – The St. Clairsville and Northern Railway, connecting St. Clairsville to Barton, Ohio, is incorporated.[1]
- 1892 – Canada Atlantic Railway leases the Central Counties Railway, which connected Glen Robertson and Hawkesbury, Ontario.[2]
- 1893 – The train station located at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago is opened.[3][4]

[edit]- 2002 – Robert Krebs resigns as chairman of the board of directors for the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway, and is replaced by company CEO Matthew K. Rose.[5]
