• 1887 - The United States receives the rights to Pearl Harbor.

• 1917 - Liliuokalani, the last monarch of the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi, dies from complications due to a stroke at Washington Place.

• 1836 - King Kalākaua, the last king of the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi, is born and given the name "David Laʻamea Kamanakapuʻu Mahinulani Nalaiaehuokalani Lumialani Kalākaua".

November 23

• 1993 - The Apology Resolution, in which the U.S. Government apologizes for the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom, is signed into law by President Bill Clinton.

• 1778 - Captain James Cook becomes the first European to visit the island of Mauʻi.

November 28

• 1843 - The Kingdom of Hawaiʻi is formally recognized as an independent nation by France and the United Kingdom, an event that would later be termed Ka Lahui, or "Hawaiian Independence Day".

November 30

• 1863 - Kamehameha IV, fourth king of the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi, dies of chronic asthma at the age of 29.
