The following requirements should be met, before an article is nominated:
- The article must be rated at least B-class, but preferably GA, A or FA class. If it is a B-class article, it cannot have any outstanding improvement tags (neutrality, expansion, factual accuracy etc.) on it.
- The article should have at least one free content (not fair use) image, which properly represents the subject.
- Unless the article is an FA, it should be at least a mid-important article.
Selection Policy: *The nomination with highest number of votes will be selected. *If more than one nomination gets the equal highest number of votes, the older nomination will be selected. *Failed nominations may be renominated for subsequent 3 consequtive months. If not selected by then, it may only be renominated after a 6 month gap. *If there is no nominattion for a particular month, the oldest item from the archive, which has been repeated the least number of times, will be selected by default.
