Makhdoom Tahir Rashid ud Din (Urdu: مخدوم طاہر رشیدُالدین), is a Pakistani politician who is a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since 14 September 2024.[1]

Political career

Rashid ud Din was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan from NA-171 Rahim Yar Khan-III as a candidate of Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) in a by-election held on 12 September 2024.[2] He received 116,429 votes and defeated Rais Hassan Mustafa, a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).[3] Hassan, claimed that the election was rigged.[4]
