Korit (Persian: كريت)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Nakhlestan Rural District of the Central District of Tabas County, South Khorasan province, Iran.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 3,122 in 873 households, when it was in Yazd province.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,446 people in 1,021 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 3,081 people in 1,001 households, by which time the county had been separated from the province to join South Khorasan province.[7] It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
