Jessica Gray (born 25 January 2001)[1] is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Women's Championship club Charlton Athletic.[2] She was the first player to sign permanently from the development Squad to the First team for Women's Championship club London City Lionesses.[3]
Club Career
[edit]Gray played for London City Lionesses development team for one season before signing her first professional contract with the First team.[4] She made history by becoming the first player to successfully sign from the player development pathway to the first team. Gray spent the 2022-2023 season at London City Lionesses, making her professional debut.[5]
Gray played for Billericay Town Football Club in the FA Women's National League from August 2022 to November 2022.[6] She made four appearances during this time, earning two Player of the Match awards.[7]
In November 2022 Gray joined Women's Championship club Charlton Athletic before signing a two-year deal in August 2023.[8] She was given the number 1 shirt at the start of the 2023-2024 season.[9][10]
