Greta Humphries (born 5 August 2005) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Women's Championship club Charlton Athletic, on loan from Women's Super League club Chelsea.
Youth career
[edit]Humphries joined the Chelsea academy in 2022. She made 17 appearances across all competitions in two season, and helping the team to win the FA WSL Academy Cup in the 2023–24 season.[3][4]
Club career
[edit]On 9 July 2024, Humphries signed her first professional contract with Chelsea, a one-year deal with the option to extend.[5][6][7] A month later, she signed for Bristol City on loan for the 2024–25 season.[8][9] Chelsea recalled Humphries from this loan on 9 January 2025, instead loaning her to Charlton Athletic for the remainder of the season.[10][11]
Personal life
[edit]Humphries was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was 5 years old and uses an insulin pump.[1]
