Harshana Peiris Suriyapperuma is a Sri Lankan politician currently serving as the Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning.He was appointed as a Member of Parliament for National List in 2024 Sri Lankan parliamentary election as a member of the National People's Power.[1][2][3][4]
Sooriyapperuma qualified as a Fellow of CIMA UK, gained a MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management and PhD in business networking and performance from the Management & Science University. Having worked in several roles related to finance and administration in the private sector, he served as the Director Corporate Affairs of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka from 2013 to 2021, before moving back to the private sector till 2023. He was member of the NPP economic council from 2022.[5][6]
