English:

Telmatrechus parallelus A dark brown water strider fossil on tan stone. The strider was preserved back up with legs outstretched.

Water striders glide across water on four long legs, two much shorter legs are modified to gather food. Fossil Butte National Monument, Lincoln County, Wyoming. Library catalog number FOBU10005. This specimen is not on display.
