Description
English: Battleship Potemkin, Soviet silent film with Russian intertitles.


2005 restoration of the Soviet premiere version by Enno Patalas, in collaboration with Anna Bohn, for the Deutsche Kinemathek. This restoration is based on prints preserved at the Museum of Modern Art, the British Film Institute, and the German Federal Archives. It includes material absent from many cuts of the film after being excised in the late 1920s by the German censor. Intertitles are restored from the prints.
